This two-evening workshop will familiarize you with the fundamental principles behind the creation of high-quality, smooth-playing video for any digital medium. In an approachable fashion, video technology and compression/decompression algorithms are shown, leading to an understanding of best practices to employ in any video compression project. Tools from Episode Pro and Cleaner to Sorenson Squeeze are demonstrated, along with state-of-the-art open source tools, enabling you to deliver video no matter what the source or destination.

Topics: Video formats, codec uses, compression principles, and best practices are extensively explained. Tools and software packages such as Telestream's Episode Pro, Sorenson Squeeze and more will be used to create high-quality video from DVD to streaming and podcasting.
