Orlando, FL – May 29, 2007 – Planet Digital, the UCF Interactive Performance Lab (IPL), and Forterra Systems Inc. have come together to develop a virtual reality component for IPL’s next “Simu-life” experience. A Simu-life places ordinary people at the center of fictional stories set in the real world (think of the films “The Game” or “The Truman Show”). However, unlike these movies, the participants are completely aware that they are playing in a fictional story.
While past Simu-lifes have occurred exclusively in real-world environments such as court houses, dance clubs, and train stations, the current Simu-life will integrate virtual environments and characters within the story as well. Operating out of Planet Digital's state-of-the-art facilities and running on the Online Virtual Environment platform provided by Forterra Systems, a full cast and technology crew will bring real Orlando locations to life in a 3-D virtual world within which the participant will interact. |

NABit2007 a Success! On May 17th, 2007, Planet Digital hosted their annual Post-NAB Event. Although the weather was a tad dreary, it did not keep the attendees of Planet's "NABit2007" event away. The event was held at Planet Digital's facility in Orlando's Thornton Park at 6PM and was hosted by David Beatriz, president of Planet Digital, and Greg Endy, head of production at Planet Digital. It featured a presentation of new technologies and concepts introduced at this year's NAB conference, the be-all-end-all broadcast industry event in Las Vegas that takes place every April. Planet Digital thanks all who helped make NABit2007 a success. Expect many more industry events and open-houses like NABit to grace the Planet Digital facility in the future. |

Orlando, FL – Feb 23rd, 2007 – Planet Digital Inc. has partnered with Netbriefings, a full-service streaming media provider, to expand its digital media service offerings into the realm of event webcasting. To launch this offering, Planet Digital hosted an event consisting of two workshops that presented the power and practicality of the technology as it pertains to the needs of the everyday business. The workshops were available for registration both on-site and online, and were introduced and taught by David Beatriz, president of Planet Digital, and Netbriefings webcast specialists Tom Boutin and Charles Peters.
