Description:  Developing an application for the iPhone is a complex process that begins with understanding the iPhone software development platform. For team leaders and managers, it is important to understand the phases of the production cycle and what is involved in the process, so that you can effectively lead your development team and establish realistic goals. In this class you will gain a complete understanding of the production cycle from planning your application, to coding and implementation. You will learn how the various components work together in order to produce a successful application that will run on a commercial iPhone.

This hands-on class is designed for managers and design-team leaders who want to know the steps necessary to develop a complete and fully functional iPhone application.

You will learn:

• How to set up a workstation to build iPhone apps
• Overview of the iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK)
• Code review – understanding the basics of programming for the iPhone
• The production lifecycle –  steps to creating a functional and successful application
• Understanding the iPhone marketplace – understanding your rights as a developer after the product goes live
• Hands on experience – create a simple application from start to finish
