Trackable Discs - Many Applications

Our trackable disc product is called the GatewayCard. It is a software package suitable for distribution on a DVD or CD-ROM containing a multimedia presentation and small software application which is linked functionally to the Internet. The card is meant to be used as a standalone introduction to a company, product or service, but also functions as a gateway to network-based content such as a website, online database or e-commerce system. This allows the card to function as both an offline and an online resource.

GatewayCard is envisioned not as a single product, but as a family of products with unique design and functional specifications. A GatewayCard can function as a traditional business card, yet with online connectivity, or it can act as an introductory software installation piece which uses an Internet connection to retrieve and update content. In either case, its unique shape, size, and attractive functionality can lead customers and interested parties to view content that they ordinarily miss through the simple offer of a printed URL or website address on a paper business card.

The following list of applications therefore acts as only a suggested list of the many possible uses of the GatewayCard.

Promotion/Marketing:

Electronic Business Card: Any businessperson can benefit from the attractive packaging and advanced media capabilities of the GatewayCard, with multiple links possible from the card to the businessperson’s website. Information such as personal history, bio, credentials, and recent accomplishments can be highlighted, along with short videos or animations that entice their audience to consider their services.

Service Businesses:

Tradepeople, salespersons, and companies offering services can offer an introduction to their services, with links from the GatewayCard to a related set of content on the web. Updates are made possible as an additional option through the use of database connectivity or text download. Special offers or coupons can be offered, and their content updated periodically through a central management system available to the customer through a browser-based interface. This allows one update to affect all users of the GatewayCard, and eliminates obsolescence of the disc-based media. Contact with customers can be facilitated by submission of electronic information from the GatewayCard and sent via email.

Product-Based Businesses: An electronic catalog can be delivered on the GatewayCard, with options for specials, catalog updates, and product offers available through web connection. The size of the card allows for hundreds of products to be shown directly, with more product offerings available through a link to an online catalog using an Internet connection.
