VR100 V-Ray: Foundations
Description: This class is designed for users with little to no experience in V-Ray, but who have a basic understanding of 3ds Max. This session provides in depth coverage of nearly all V-Ray settings, with special emphasis on maximizing speed and efficiency in a production environment. Included with your tuition is a signed copy of the 3ds Max Architectural Visualization book by Brian L. Smith, your instructor for this class.
Topics: Theory of Bounced Light, Critical Settings in V-Ray, Global Illumination, Materials, Image Based Lighting, Caustics, Displacement Mapping, IES Light Application, and more.
You will learn:
- Creation of photorealistic quality images
- Applying light to interior and exterior scenes
- How to troubleshoot poorly illuminated scenes - common problems
- To improve the quality of your own existing renderings
- To apply numerous "looks" to the same scene
- To achieve amazing results in a minimal amount of time
Duration: 3 days (or 6 evenings)
Level: Fundamental
Prerequisite: 3ds Max Fundamentals, 3ds Max Lighting and Rendering or equivalent basic knowledge of lighting within 3ds Max (version 6 or beyond) is required.
