Description: There are few 3D modeling suites that offer the realistic textures and fluid animations as Maya. In this course, you will learn how to use curve to make surfaces, modeling and editing in NURBS, and modeling and editing in polygons. For the materials and lighting section of this class, we will cover connection, importing file textures and basic lighting (3 point lighting) and more.

Topics: Surface tools (Loft, extrude, revolve, birail), NURBS (editing the surface, setup for texturing), Polygons (starting a model, editing the surface, UV mapping), Materials and Lighting (different material types, connections, bringing the file textures into Maya and basic 3 point lighting.)

Duration: 3 days

Level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: You should have a working knowledge of Maya and be able to create basic 3D models in order to get the most out of this class.
