COM200 "MaxBustion" - The Integration of Combustion with 3ds Max
Description: This class explores the integration of 3ds Max and Combustion. Using them in tandem, they become an exceptional combination that nearly completes all essential tools for the creation of still and animated projects. This includes the combination of live-action and CG elements for things such as set extensions. This session is primarily intended for existing 3ds Max users looking to add Combustion to their pipeline. Included with your tuition is a signed copy of the Combustion 4 book by Gary M. Davis, your instructor for this class.
Topics: The Paint operator, Material Editor, UVW Mapping, Compositing 2D render passes (aka render elements), working with RPF files and 3D compositing, 3D post operators.
You will learn:
- Using combustion’s paint tools for 3D Painting within 3ds Max
- Render Elements and selective effects
- RPF rendering and 3D compositing
- Tracking particles to 3D renders
Duration: 2 days (or 4 evenings)
Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Prerequisite: 3ds Max Fundamentals or a working knowledge of 3ds Max in a production environment is required. Combustion Fundamentals recommended, but not required.
