Description: This course is designed for people looking to get started with page layout and document design, or those who are already familiar with the process seeking a solid foundation in Adobe's InDesign. With InDesign, Adobe's flagship page layout tool, it is possible to create stunning documents, from single-page flyers to large multipage documents like books or training manuals. Although the software may seem daunting at first, it seamlessly fits into the Adobe production suite and builds upon your knowledge of other design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. In this course you will learn not only fundamentals of digital pre-press, but also effective communications, layout and design principles using the extensive toolset offered by InDesign. This course provides the necessary foundation to start designing your own documents immediately.

Topics: Familiarization with digital pre-press, an introduction to InDesign for new users, making use of layout tools, flowing text and importing pictures, program integration and workflow enhancements offered within Adobe's Creative Suite, planning design projects, understanding output to PDF.
